Natural subsoil was no encountered in any of the trenches. The base of an east-west stone wall was recorded along the southern edge of Trench 1. An east-west brick wall was recorded along the southern edge of Trench 2, and was also found to be constructed above a midden of post-medieval midden deposit. [Au(abr)] |
