Abstract:		 Evaluation in advance of quarrying related to road development found evidence of prehistoric settlement. A concentration of post-holes suggested prehistoric settlement, probably of Bronze Age date. A pit containing pottery fragments may have been part of a Middle Bronze Age cremation cemetery. [AIP]
