Abstract: |
The site contained no evidence for pre-20th century activity. Earlier stratigraphy had been largely removed, probably through the digging of a large saw pit at the west end of the site. Elsewhere undisturbed gravels were overlain by modern dump levels. No residual material was found on the site to indicate medieval or post-medieval activity, and it must be concluded that any archaeological stratigraphy earlier than the 20th century had been removed by modern activity.
