Abstract: |
Emergency recording was undertaken of an exposed section of sea cliff at Cockersands Abbey. The site was within the area of a SAM and the work was carried out at the request of English Heritage. After manual cleaning it became apparent that only the northernmost 6m of the eroded sea cliff section was archaeologically significant. This consisted of an exposed section of anthroprogenically developed stratigraphy. An accurate 1:10 scale section drawing was made of the archaeologically significant area. No artefacts were recovered from the section. [Au(adp)] |
