Abstract: |
An archaeologist visited a development site following the discovery of a possible stone implement by a JCB driver. The stone object was found to be a natural pebble. However, it was observed that wide ridge and furrow was extant on the site, which lay within a medieval settlement, adjacent to a moated site. A concentration of 18th-19th century artefacts noted along the southern site boundary suggested the presence of a rubbish dump in this area. [AIP] |
