Abstract: |
Two phases of recording on the city walls adjacent to Paragon Street were undertaken as part of the twenty year programme of restoration of York's City Walls. The first phase of work constituted an excavation which revealed evidence of the 14th century core of the wall ramparts and of late post-medieval activity. The second phase of the work required the examination and recording of the wall for a distance of 50 metres from Fishergate Bar towards Walmgate Bar. [AIP] |
