Abstract The abstract describing the content of the publication or report Abstract:	An evaluation was undertaken in response to proposals to redevelop the area. No structural activity earlier than the 19th century was encountered although the evaluation did reveal substantial below-ground structures related to the gasworks. It was thought that pre-gasworks archaeology survived beneath and between these remains.
