Abstract: |
Evaluation trenches were excavated at the site. Residual Mesolithic and Neolithic finds were recovered. Bronze Age cremations were encountered, along with a possible Late Bronze Age field system. Three Late Iron Age agricultural settlements with associated field system were identified. These settlements continued in use into the Roman period. A medieval pit was identified. The site formed part of the Gilston Park House estate in the post-medieval period. [Au(adp)] |
