Abstract: A trial excavation was undertaken on the site. Ditches dating to the Saxo-Norman period were identified and may have formed tenement plots. A boundary ditch and a hollow way of the same date were also identified. Ditches and pits were also identified belonging to the high medieval period. Infilling of the ditches and the hollow way with imported soils was identified as taking place in the post-medieval period. A post-medieval surface was also uncovered. [Au(abr)]
