Abstract: |
An evaluation was carried out at the proposed site of a high-rise car park, which lay to the west of a possible focus of medieval settlement. A prehistoric flint flake, a sherd of medieval pottery, 18th-20th century pottery and a fragment of clay pipe were recovered, and features dating from the 19th century or later were observed. It was concluded that no further archaeological work would be necessary. [AIP] |
