Abstract:
An evaluation was carried out at the proposed site of a housing development. Prehistoric, Roman and Saxon find-spots had previously been recorded in the vicinity. Three trenches and a test-pit were excavated, but the only archaeological features revealed were the truncated remains of a 17th or 18th century house. Fragments of Roman pottery and building material were recovered. No further work was recommended. [AIP]
