Abstract:		 An archaeological desk based assessment was undertaken on two shafts related to the development of the Plymouth Sewage Treatment Plant. Documentary research demonstrated that the potential archaeological features and deposits encountered would be related to the late medieval and post-medieval development of the quayside and docks of the town as well as the development of the medieval core of Plymouth.
