Abstract: |
The lack of previous development on the site suggested that the potential for archaeological survival was good. The moat at Court Lodge Farm was of a number in the locality of the site and was a distinctive part of the historic settlement pattern. Since the medieval period the site remained largely agricultural in use, the only notable event being the changes in the layout of the field boundaries in the 19th century. [Au(abr)] |
