Abstract: |
An evaluation was undertaken to determine the archaeological implications of proposed development. Natural water gullies and a channel were encountered in the central part of the site. These were overlain by subsoil, from the surface of which several prehistoric flints were recovered. The prehistoric material was only identified in the north-western part of the site and probably derived from a nearby flint working or occupation site. Remains associated with the 19th-20th century housing and brickworks were extensive and included a disused kiln, sediment/septic tank, walls and drains. [Au(abr)] |
