Abstract: |
An archaeological evaluation, comprising the excavation of 33 trial trenches, was undertaken in advance of proposed development of the site. This evaluation revealed the presence of an L-shaped ditch tentatively dated to the earlier prehistoric period (Neolithic/Bronze Age). In addition to this some scattered and largely undated archaeological features were recorded. The north and the east parts of the site had been subject to earth moving activity related to the construction of the A1. [Au(adp)] |
