Abstract: |
<summary2>An area near to a known medieval moated site at Dunstall House, Earls Croome (HWCM7052 and 9468, situated to the east of the M5 motorway at SO883428), was visited in order to establish whether there were any earthworks associated with it which had not been recorded on the County Sites and Monuments Record, and which might be threatened by the motorway widening. (The moated site itself, which is not Scheduled, was not visited.) The site visit established that no earthworks existed in the evaluation area on the western side of the motorway, to the west of the moated site; the area consisted mostly of improved pasture. Since the motorway was to be widened on the western side, the known earthworks to the east were not threatened by construction work. {italon}Au(adp){italoff} {italon}SMR Primary Record Numbers:{italoff} HWCM10420 |
