Abstract: |
Desk-based assessment of a site lying adjacent to the Ermine Street Roman road identfied that worked flints, fragments of Iron Age pottery, Roman ceramic building materials and Saxon metalwork had previously been recovered from the proposed development area. Cartographic evidence showed that the area had been in agricultural usage throughout the post-medieval and modern period. [AIP] |
