Abstract: |
<summary>Observations were made during the construction of the Combe Martin pipeline; fieldwalking was undertaken after the topsoil-stripping had taken place. No lithic finds were made, and only one significant sherd of pottery was recovered. No buried soils were found associated with the parish boundaries and no evidence of old silver workings was noted. A possible boundary stone was recorded; the stone may be prehistoric, or have a cross carved on one face - unfortunately, it is too badly eroded to tell. {italon}AIP{italoff} |
