Abstract: |
Trial excavation in the area of the proposed Broadmarsh Shopping Centre development established the presence, state of preservation and depth of burial of medieval and post-medieval deposits in the Broadmarsh. The surface of the medieval horizon was identified close to the water table in each trench and was sealed below post-medieval and late post-medieval garden soils. Substantial modern overburden was present in all of the trenches. [Au(adp)] |
