Abstract: |
A fluxgate gradiometer survey, covering c.0.3ha, was carried out at the site of a proposed residential development. No anomalies of probable archaeological origin were identified. A number of magnetically enhanced isolate anomalies were noted that, because of the presence of known archaeological kilns in the immediate vicinity, could have been archaeologically significant. However, given the perturbed magnetic background and lack of any obvious 'kiln type' response a natural origin was thought the most probable cause of the anomalies. [Au(abr)] |
