Abstract: |
A rectangular building relating to the defence of Harwich during the Napoleonic period was discovered by trial trenching in an area of slightly raised ground along Barrack Lane. The building was represented by robbed-out brick walls near the top of an archaeological sequence of post-medieval layers more than 0.7m thick. [Au] |
