Abstract: |
<summary>It was necessary to carry out an archaeological assessment of the route of the Pynes to Dunsford Hill water-main. A number of sites were found to be within the vicinity of the water- main corridor: a Saxon/medieval boundary, a medieval settlement, Exwick mills, and Roman and medieval trackways. No Scheduled Ancient Monuments lay directly on the route. A programme of limited hand-excavation and a watching brief was recommended. {italon}AIP{italoff} |
