Abstract: |
The excavation of a short trial trench demonstrated the survival of medieval deposits within the grounds of the County Primary School in the 'Outer Ward' of Haughley Castle. Deposits included evidence for post holes, a palisade-type ditch, a larger open ditch, and pits. Finds included 12-14th century pottery and a coin of Henry III. [Au] |
