Abstract:
A watching brief was carried out at the site of a new dwelling which lay within the medieval settlement of Derrington. Due to the fact that notification was not received until development work had already begun, the monitoring visit was made following the reduction of a significant proportion of the site by 2m or more. Two negative features were observed, but no artefacts were recovered and their dates and functions remained unknown. [AIP]
