Abstract: |
A watching brief was undertaken on a site thay lay just outside the SAM of Vespasian's Camp, and Iron Age earthwork, but just within part of the Stonehenge World Heritage Site, lying only 250 metres from The Avenue. A large prehsitoric ditch was located which ran parallel to the western ramparts of Vespasian's Camp. The finds from the subsoil suggested that it was probably a ploughsoil with finds within it dating from the late prehsitoric to the 17th century. [Au(adp)] |
