Abstract: |
A series of evaluations were undertaken within the grounds of Audley End House. Work established the route and make up of pathways all around the house and in the gardens. Investigations along the front of the Vine House, situated within the Nursery, revealed brick footings, thought to be the remains of raised beds. Structural remains were located in a wooded area to the east of the gardens. These consisted of an inner corner of brick foundations, probably the remains of a late 18th century Cold Bath thought to be in the vicinity. [Au(abr)] |
