Abstract: |
The site lay within the historic core of Wokingham and might have comprised possible archaeological remains dating to the Saxon or medieval periods. No traces of Saxon or medieval activity was identified and the only features found were five pits dated to the post-medieval period. These seem likely to represent a localised distribution of rubbish pits, possibly dating to the late nineteenth or early twentieth century. [Au(abr)] |
