Abstract: |
An archaeological watching brief was held over excavations undertaken during underpinning operations. Much of what was found was of post-medieval date, a drain and foundations of the standing houses of Monk Bar Court. However, limestone block masonry, unconnected with the standing buildings was revealed, forming a wall or footing. Late-medieval pottery was also recovered from the excavations. [AIP] |
