Abstract: |
Archaeological evaluation at 7 High Court and 1 to 6 Church Row, Leeds, revealed evidence for medieval activity in the area adjacent to St. Peter's Church. A pit, post hole and ditch have been tentatively dated to the 14th and 15th century or earlier. Layers, including possible floor structures, then built up through 17th and 18th centuries, prior to the construction of buildings by the early 19th century. These properties were almost entirely razed in the 1960's. [Au] |
