Abstract: |
An archaeological watching brief was maintained during modifications to the layout of footways and alterations to the parking arrangements within the Castle Yard. Castle Yard was located within the centre of Knaresborough to the immediate north of the Castle Grounds (SAM No. 487). The watching brief was successful in recording aspects of the late medieval alterations to the castle as well as later post-medieval landscaping features. [AIP] |
