Abstract: |
An archaeological watching brief was undertaken during a shop extension and involved the monitoring of the excavation of two pier bases and a trench to contain a ground beam. The foundations of the upstanding cross wall within the building were recorded in section and a second wall on a similar alignment was exposed beneath the floor surface. Two substantial cut features were exposed, one certainly of medieval date, the second of uncertain date. [Au(abr)] |
