Abstract: |
Excavations revealed a series of intercutting pits related to gravel extraction, of uncertain date, but with early medieval pottery in the backfills. The pitting did not extend north, suggesting that St. Edward's Passage was established by the thirteenth century, perhaps being contemporary with the early St. Edward's Church. [Au(abr)] |
