Abstract: |
The watching brief was maintained during ground investigations which consisted of ten test-pits, six window samples, three auger holes and three boreholes. The sequence showed a thick layer of made ground comprised of layers of sandy silty soil, of ashy consistency in places, on top of natural gravel. Some of the window samples showed a thin layer of dirty brickearth on top of the gravel. [Au(adp)] |
