Abstract: |
The watching brief was undertaken on a site which lay near to the core of the medieval village. A large undated ditch, probably a former boundary, was observed crossing the site eastwest. Relatively modern disturbance, in the form of gullies, a pit and a brick wall were also recorded. These remains, which were of 19th century date, were probably associated with a pig house and a crew yard that were previously located on the site. [Au] |
