Abstract: |
<summary>A desktop assessment was carried out for several sites within a defined area, as well as for a projected tram route from one of the sites to Barking Station. Evidence from excavations in the vicinity was examined, and it was concluded that the site could have archaeological deposits extending to a depth of 2m or more. Waterlogged conditions would be expected in some areas, and it was noted that an early phase of Barking Abbey could have existed on one particular site. An evaluation was recommended. {italon}AIP{italoff}{spacea} |
