Abstract: |
The evaluation identified a sequence of alluvial deposits overlain by modern levelling-up horizons on the Church Street frontage. A ditched boundary was recorded to the east of a former builders' yard. A significant quantity of animal bone recovered from alluvial deposits may have been waste from the former brick tannery factory located within the study area, although it may have derived from earlier tanning activity.
