Abstract: |
A watching brief was carried out during the excavation of investigatory test pits at a site where parts of a 13th century friary had been observed in the 19th century. A chalk foundation was observed which was probably part of the nave of the monastery church. 18th-19th century walls were also recorded. No artefacts were recovered. [AIP] |
