Abstract: |
A watching brief and building recording was carried out to record groundworks in the church grounds and the alteration of the south porch of the church. Groundworks revealed a layer of 'graveyard soil' which contained disarticulated human bones, probably from disturbed graves. A brick lined feature, possibly a crypt was also identified. Recording of the south porch revealed that it was a later post-medieval addition constructed under an earlier timber roof, there was no evidence of reused masonry. [Au(adp)] |
