Abstract: |
An evaluation was undertaken of an area of cleared land currently in use as a car park between Strand Street and Cremyll Street. Five machine trenches revealed the remains, some standing, of 17th to 19th century buildings (demolished sometime last century) on each corner of the area with a garden or park area at the centre of the car park. Survival of remains was better in the southern portion of the site than in the northern. [Au(abr)] |
