Abstract: |
An archaeological desk-based assessment was undertaken in advance of the construction of a new Arts Centre. The assessment confirmed the school's location within an area of important medieval settlement remains, which were excavated in the 1950s. The site of the proposed development had been extensively landscaped during construction of the school playing fields. Examination of aerial photographs indicated that there was little potential for the survival of archaeological deposits. [Au(abr)] |
