Abstract:		 Two trial trenches were excavated as an evaluation of the site. Stratified medieval deposits were encountered within both trenches, directly overlain by 18th and 19th century structures. Trench 1 revealed parts of two robbed stone walls of medieval date. A stone drain post-dating wall 120 was in turn sealed by a dump deposit which contained pottery of 13th to 14th century date. These medieval deposits were overlain by the remains of a sequence of brick structures of 18th and 19th century date. Trial trench 2 revealed traces of a series of surfaces along with the remains of a substantial masonry wall. A sequence of deposits of later medieval date lay against the face of this wall. A series of brick walls and floors of 19th century date directly overlay these deposits. Au(abr)]
