Abstract: |
An evaluation was carried out at the development site of a plaza. The site lay within an archaeological priority zone, near the line of Roman Watling Street and in close proximity to the former site of Kilburn Priory. Six trenches were excavated but no features other than some of late 19th or early 20th century origin were encountered. Pottery dating from the 18th-20th centuries was recovered, as well as a single sherd of 3rd-4th century date. It was concluded that no further work would be necessary. [AIP] |
