Abstract: |
<summary>Extension work to the rear of the Marks and Spencer store necessitated a watching brief during the excavation of a lift shaft and pile shafts. Apart from the deeper lift shaft (which revealed undisturbed layers, though no archaeological features or finds), the general excavation levels did not appear to intrude upon any potential archaeological deposits which may have been sealed by the post-medieval material. {italon}AIP{italoff}{spacea}{italon}SMR Primary Record Numbers:{italoff} 97 |
