Abstract:
<summary>A watching brief undertaken during the construction of a water-main revealed a Middle Bronze Age cremation pit and recovered a collection of later Neolithic/Early Bronze Age worked flint. Ditches recorded close to Spetisbury Rings were probably associated with the Iron Age hillfort. The other features recorded could mostly be assigned to a medieval or post-medieval date, and included the remains of a former building and associated features close to the site of a Benedictine priory cell. {italon}AIP{italoff}{spacea}
