Abstract: |
A watching brief was carried out during the renewal of existing water mains within the core of Nether Stowey, a medieval planned town. Nether Stowey and its castle were believed to date from the 12th-13th century. All pits and trenches for the renewal were cut into old service trenches, and no features of archaeological interest were revealed. [AIP] |
