Abstract: |
A watching brief was held over the excavation of foundations for two adjacent dwellings because it was thought the area might contain remains relating to the medieval pottery industry known from the village. The foundations of a recently demolished building, together with two pits also of modern date were found, cutting through make-up layers. No earlier deposits or finds were present. [Au(adp)] |
