Abstract:

The evaluation identified a series of pits containing a mixture of rubbish and demolition debris and three bedding trenches, which appeared to have been of an 18th century or later date. Sealing all these features was a thick layer interpreted as garden soil. During the reworking of this deposit the upper parts of all the cuts had been truncated. Finds recorded from the features and layers on site ranged from the 18th century onwards. [Au(abr)]
