Abstract: |
A high concentration of medieval ridge and furrow was observed, possibly reflecting the proximity of settlement or cultivation associated with Coombe Abbey, though no dating evidence was recovered. Nothing else apart from possible field boundaries was recorded. It was stated that the method of topsoil stripping limited the effectiveness of the watching brief. [AIP] |
