Abstract: |
The evaluation consisted of a topographic survey, a magnetometer survey and two sample trenches. The site lay within an area of known prehistoric, Romano-British and medieval activity. The topographic survey identified the remnants of medieval ridge and furrow across the site as well as the location of former ponds and land boundaries. The subsequent excavation, however, revealed no archaeological deposits although a quantity of medieval and later pottery was uncovered. [AIP] |
