Abstract: |
Ten evaluation trenches were excavated on the site. A number of deposits and features were identified, largely caused by salt making during the 12th to 14th centuries. Metal working was also present on the site and although part of the site was clearly used as a dump, some of the household material suggested pre post-medieval occupation on part of the site.
